SUPER Rugby 2018 is almost here, which means that our Fantasy and Predictor games return too!
Who will you pick in your side, and what tips will you make as the season goes on, and form waxes and wanes?
Do you put your faith in last season’s top scorer, Damien McKenzie (at $563,000, the highest-priced player in the game) or will you instead be cheering on every run by the $552,000-priced Warartahs’ outside back Israel Folau … even if you’re a Reds fan?
FOX SPORTS Super Rugby Fantasy is FREE to enter – in just minutes you can be playing against your friends and creating new rivalries.
To begin you select a 23-man squad of players from across the Super Rugby competition – your players will then be allocated a score based on their actual performance for that round, calculated according to the scoring system.
Players’ initial price is based upon their scores from the previous year along with numerous other factors, with most recent games having the largest influence on the value. As the season goes on, prices change after each Round after the completion of the Round 2 Lockout, which is the first scoring round of the 2018 Super Rugby Fantasy season.
Picking a team:
With $6 million to pick a squad of 23 Players, when selecting your team you must select:
· 3 Props
· 2 Hookers
· 3 Locks
· 4 Back-rowers
· 2 Scrum-halves
· 2 Fly-halves
· 3 Centres, and
· 4 Outside backs
This will give you an on-field squad of 15 plus eight reserves. In order for your team to perform at its best, edit your starting line-up of 15 Players prior to the start of each round through making both trades and substitutions – before the Fantasy league season begins in Round 2 (following on from only two games occurring in Round 1 of the Super Rugby season), you can edit your team as many times as you like.
Once the season begins, you are allocated a maximum of three valid trades per week – during the weeks where four or more teams have a bye, you can use four trades during that round – the trades DO NOT accumulate, thus if you don’t use three them, you lose them!
Join a League and your team will be playing against opponents in your League each week; the highest scoring team in each matchup wins! You will also be entered into an overall competition against every other coach in the game. Adjust and improve your Team each week by trading in and out.
All you have to do is create a private League and then invite your friends & celebrity players – league commissioners can add a celebrity to a league, including players such as George Gregan, Tim Horan, Phil Kearns, John Eales, Nick McArdle, Greg Clark and Stephen Hoile, plus you can take them ALL on now in our open league, ID # 9RSCCD6R – just search that ID in leagues once you’re registered, or click below
Join the Fox Sports League to take them on.
